Formerly known as PowerGen, E.On Energy is one of the UK's 'Big Six' energy suppliers. They are part of the E.On Group, a German-based international company that is the world's largest investor-owned Energy Company. In the UK, E.on is the second biggest supplier providing energy to over 5 million customers.
E.on are working on improving their coal, gas and oil-fired power stations and in recent years have started to generate more energy from renewable sources. The suppliers green credentials speak for themselves; E.on currently has 21 wind farms, a Lockerbie based biomass plant and the first wave power generator in Britain.

They are focused on keeping energy costs down and recognised that energy bills are a big part of their customer's outgoings. E.on is committed to helping customers improve the energy efficiency of their homes and reducing carbon dioxide emission. They are doing this by providing them with the financial support and products and investing in new technologies. They have installed 340,000 smart meters and issued 650,000 Saving Energy Toolkit to customers in an attempt to improve energy efficiency in the UK.
E.ON is part of the Energy Switch Guarantee. This is a pledge to customers that they will have a speedy and safe switch from one energy provider to another.
